Join us in making a meaningful impact on the Suffolk community by volunteering at our Salvation Army Community Food Pantry event!
Event Details:
- Date: 4th Monday of every month
- Time: 11:00am - 4:00pm
- Location: Suffolk Corps, 400 Bank St. Suffolk, VA 23434
- Activity: Assisting with unloading 8 palettes of produce and distributing goods to our clients.
Volunteer Duties:
- Unloading and organizing produce from delivery trucks.
- Distributing food items to clients in an orderly manner.
- Providing assistance and support to clients as needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the distribution area.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift medium to heavy objects.
- Comfortable with outdoor activities.
- Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate layers as it will be an outdoor event.

The Salvation Army Hampton Roads Area Command serves southside Hampton Roads and its surrounding communities with programs and locations that serve families in need with emergency assistance, housing, substance abuse treatment, youth enrichment opportunities, spiritual care, and emergency disaster services.
