About the ToolBank:
The New Orleans ToolBank exists to equip nonprofits and community-based organizations with the tools they need to carry out transformative projects. Instead of spending their resources on purchasing tools, we allow them to borrow equipment-empowering them to focus on their mission and create lasting change in the city. From neighborhood clean-ups to playground builds, our tools support the people who make communities stronger.

Your Role:
As our Social Media Content Creator & Messaging Manager, you’ll work closely with the site director to:

  • Develop engaging content that raises awareness of the ToolBank’s value to the community.

  • Highlight how organizations can access tools for their projects.

  • Showcase the groups we support and the incredible work they’re doing.

  • Promote volunteer opportunities and encourage people to get involved.

  • Support donor outreach by crafting compelling messaging.

  • Manage multiple social media platforms, ensuring consistent and impactful communication.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in creating social media content and managing multiple platforms.

  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to engage audiences and inspire action.

  • A creative thinker who brings fresh ideas to amplify our mission.

  • Passion for community-based work and believing in the power of tools to make a difference.

  • Ability to work virtually, independently, and collaboratively with our team.

Boasting a spacious 2,700-square-foot warehouse that is stocked with an assortment of premium quality tools of all
varieties, the ToolBank makes doing good easier than ever before. By offering affordable access to high-quality tools, the
New Orleans ToolBank allows community organizations to save money, which can then be used to directly support their
intended mission
