Join the City of Edmonton in stopping the spread of invasive weeds this summer! We will be working in parks around the City, removing harmful invasive weeds to restore biodiversity.
Events are 2-3 hours each, and all tools and materials are supplied. We will even have snacks!

Did you know that invasive species are the second biggest threat to biodiversity only after habitat loss? Volunteer to help stop the spread of invasive plants in Edmonton! In the past few years, hundreds of volunteers have participated in weed pull events to remove invasive species and to preserve the biodiversity in our beautiful river valley. Join us for a safe, fun and hands-on volunteer experience this summer with your families and friends.

Description

The City of Edmonton works with community members to stop the spread of prohibited noxious and noxious weeds listed in the Alberta Weed Control Act.
