Role Summary:
The Crypto Tax Manager ensures full compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements for crypto donations. This role works closely with finance, legal, and operations to manage audits, risk, and financial reporting.
Reports to: Director of Cryptocurrency & Blockchain Strategy
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and apply IRS and international crypto tax laws to donation processing.
Maintain accurate financial records and assist in audit preparation.Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, and financial transparency standards.
Develop internal documentation and training on crypto-related finance protocols.
Support conversion, valuation, and classification of crypto assets for accounting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
CPA, tax attorney, or extensive experience in crypto tax compliance.
Strong understanding of IRS Form 8283, 990 reporting, and fair market valuation of crypto.Familiarity with nonprofit finance and reporting frameworks.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation Preferred:
Experience advising nonprofits or impact-driven projects on digital asset compliance.
Hands-on experience with crypto accounting tools or platforms.
