The Adoptions Coordinator plays a crucial role in matching rescued dogs with suitable forever homes, ensuring a smooth adoption process, and providing exceptional support to adopters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Adoption Applications: Manage and review adoption applications, including initial reviews, phone screens, and reference checks.
2. Dog Profiling: Create and maintain accurate profiles for adoptable dogs, highlighting their breed, age, energy level, and temperament.
3. Matching: Carefully match dogs with suitable adopters based on lifestyle, living situation, and preferences.
4. Home Visits: Coordinate and oversee home visits to ensure a safe and suitable environment for the adopted dog.
5. Adoption Contracts: Prepare and finalize adoption contracts, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and complete.
6. Post-Adoption Support: Provide ongoing support and guidance to adopters, addressing any questions or concerns.
7. Communication: Maintain open communication with adopters, volunteers, and other team members.
8. Record Keeping: Accurately maintain adoption records, including documentation and data entry.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Intake and Transportation.
10. Education: Stay up-to-date on best practices in animal adoption and welfare.
11. Posting available dogs on pet adoption platform

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist with adoption events and promotions
• Develop and maintain adoption marketing materials
• Provide feedback and insights to improve the adoption process
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities
• Foster positive relationships with adopters, volunteers, and colleagues
