Join us on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Ocean View Beach Park in Norfolk, VA for an unforgettable day of community, creativity, and kid-powered entrepreneurship!
HomeschoolED Heroes is hosting our first-ever Children’s Business Fair, and we need enthusiastic, friendly volunteers to help everything run smoothly on event day. If you love working with kids, being outdoors, supporting local families, or just want to make a difference in a single day-this is the perfect opportunity!
Roles we need help with include:
- Greeting guests and answering questions
- Checking in youth entrepreneurs and volunteers at registration tables
- Assisting with children’s activities and transitions
- Helping with event setup and breakdown
- Being encouraging mentors and supporters for the kids
No prior experience needed-we’ll provide guidance, support, and high fives.
You’ll walk away with memories, connections, and the satisfaction of being part of something truly special.
Event Date: Saturday, July 12, 2025
Location: Ocean View Beach Park, Norfolk, VA
Time Commitment: Flexible shifts between 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (you choose your hours)

HomeschoolED Heroes exists to support, inspire, and equip homeschooling families--and those often left out of traditional education support systems--through creative programs, community partnerships, and culturally grounded resources.
Description
HomeschoolED Heroes is a growing grassroots initiative dedicated to uplifting homeschooling families through culturally grounded, community-driven educational experiences. Our mission is to empower youth with the tools, creativity, and confidence to thrive beyond the traditional classroom.
We offer weekly online enrichment classes, downloadable resources, and hands-on activities that focus on literacy, entrepreneurship, STEAM, and storytelling. In July 2025, we’ll host our first Children’s Business Fair, where young learners showcase their ventures and creative projects to the public.
This year also marks the launch of our Connecting Young Innovators Community(tm)-a mentorship network that pairs youth with local business owners and subject matter experts to foster leadership, skill-building, and community pride.
Currently pending 501(c)(3) status, HomeschoolED Heroes welcomes volunteers who believe in educational equity, real-world learning, and the power of preparing the next generation of innovators.
