HELP WANTED FOR HOSPICE: VETERAN VOLUNTEERS
ORGANIZATION: Merced Hospice Inc., DBA: Fresno Hospice
Please visit the new page to apply.

Fresno Hospice is seeking Military Veterans Volunteers to provide companionship and support to fellow Veterans in hospice care. Your shared experience can offer unmatched comfort, honor, and connection during their final journey.
Why Veteran Volunteers Matter: Because no one understands a Veteran like a fellow Veteran.
Veterans often find peace and camaraderie in talking with someone who understands military life. As a Veteran, you have the unique ability to connect with patients in a way others can't.
What You’ll Do:
- Visit Veterans receiving hospice care in their homes or care facilities
- Share stories, lend a listening ear, and offer a comforting presence
- Participate in recognition ceremonies to honor their service
- Flexible visits-just a few hours a month can make a meaningful impact
Ideal Volunteers Are:
- U.S. Military Veterans or active duty members (any branch, any era)
- Compassionate, respectful, and dependable
- Willing to complete hospice volunteer training
- Ready to honor and support fellow service members at end of life
Help us serve those who served. Your time, your story, and your presence can be a powerful gift.
Each volunteer completes an application, interview, background check, and online training module.
