Women's Resources of Monroe County needs volunteers for 2015-2016! Volunteer counselor/advocates are needed for our 24 hour crisis hotline. Other volunteer opportunities are also available. Volunteer to be a hotline crisis counselor and provide the support that victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault need. No previous experience required. A free training class is available to volunteers whose only desire is to help others.

To provide a safe and caring environment that encourages healing and empowerment for anyone whose life has been impacted by domestic and sexual violence. We strive to engage our community through awareness, advocacy, and prevention.


Women’s Resources offers FREE and CONFIDENTIAL services for anyone who has been a victim, or family members of victims, of domestic and/or sexual abuse. Established in 1980 we have grown and expanded our services to meet the needs of victims and survivors in our area. Domestic and sexual abuse know no boundaries - women, men, children, teens, LGBTQ+, young and old; anyone can be a victim of abuse, therefore anyone can be eligible to receive services at Women’s Resources.
