Are you a caring, compassionate person looking to make a real impact in someone’s life? Join our team as a Hospice Volunteer and offer comfort, companionship, and dignity to individuals and families during life’s most tender moments.
What You’ll Do:Visit with patients to provide companionship and emotional support
Read aloud, play music, take short walks, or simply sit in peaceful presence
Support caregivers with a listening ear or a brief respite
Assist with light administrative tasks or bereavement support (optional)
A warm, empathetic individual with a heart for helping others
Comfortable being present during sensitive moments
Respectful of all beliefs, cultures, and experiences
Over 18 years old (some exceptions may apply)
You don’t need medical experience-we’ll give you the tools, training, and ongoing support to feel confident and supported in your role.

Description
ViaQuest volunteers are the heart of our hospice services. They are dedicated and caring people from our community who have the ability to listen sensitively and an awareness of personal boundaries. Our volunteers undergo a comprehensive training program with an emphasis on compassion and caring with the goal of providing the best assistance to our patients and their caregivers. There is a wide range of opportunities, including assisting patients and their families, providing information, and being a source of encouragement at any point for those who need it.
