We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Liaison intern to assist in engaging local stakeholders and communities in our conservation project. This internship is open to juniors in high school or above.
As a Community Liaison intern, your role will focus on supporting the development and implementation of the stakeholder engagement plan. You will help connect with local agencies, schools, and community groups, fostering collaboration and feedback on the conservation efforts.
This is an unpaid internship, requiring 4-5 hours per week over 2-3 months. You will work closely with the project team to integrate community feedback into the conservation plan and help organize outreach events to successfully establish a well-functioning conservation plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying and engaging local stakeholders and community groups.
- Help organize community outreach events to gather feedback on the conservation plan.
- Support the creation of educational materials and strategies for public engagement.
- Contribute to the integration of community input into the conservation plan.
Ideal Candidate:
- Currently pursuing or planning to pursue a degree in Communications, Environmental Studies, or related fields.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for community engagement and environmental conservation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Green Crew's mission is to lead the adventure of "saving the world." The Green Crew is a youth-inspired and youth-led environmental action organization. Our conservation service projects provide youth the hands-on experience in meaningful action to make the natural world healthier.
Description
Launching in January 2022, the Green Crew is a unique collaboration between the Izaak Walton League and the BSA venturing program. We sponsor 1 or 2 environmental adventures per month. These adventures have been designed, planned, and implemented by youth. Adults serve as consultants and advisors.
