Volunteering with Luminary Hospice is a rewarding way to bring support and comfort to the lives of hospice patients and their families. A volunteer visit can provide patients with companionship, boost their self-esteem, and decrease loneliness. Volunteers also report feelings of increased peace, purpose, and general optimism.
Requirements
Our patients' health and safety are our top priority so we may provide a great environment for the patient and volunteers. All volunteers must complete the steps below and special training before meeting with patients. If you have any questions or believe any of these requirements may be a barrier to your volunteering, please contact us.
