Gage Academy of Art is seeking enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to support our biggest fundraising event of the year - Illumination: A Celebration of Art and Community! This inspiring gala brings together artists, collectors, and community members for a night of art, storytelling, and celebration - all in support of our mission to make art education accessible to all.

Volunteer Roles May Include:

  • Guest check-in and registration

  • Silent auction assistance

  • Greeters and wayfinding support

  • Event setup and breakdown

  • Artist and donor support

  • Raffle ticket and paddle raise coordination

Guided by the belief that artists are made, not born, Gage strives to educate, enrich and engage artists and the community in the visual-arts. Gage offers instruction in the principles of drawing, painting and sculpting and is dedicated to helping students of all ages and skill levels realize themselves as artists in contemporary society.

Description

Step into Gage Academy of Art to discover a learning community passionate about the many ways art changes lives. Our intimate studio programs offer personal attention and hands-on, rigorous training in the techniques of drawing, painting and sculpting.

Because we believe that your talent emerges naturally as your skills grow, the only prerequisite for our courses is the desire to learn. Gage Adult Programs focus on the practical applications of art theory, educating you in both the techniques and the aesthetic issues of artmaking with a proven, stimulating framework to accelerate the growth of your artistic skills.

We invite you to come for a lecture, take an evening class or enroll as a full-time student. Enjoy the commitment and comraderie of the instructors and students who convene at Gage to learn and make art together.
