Volunteer Needs
Hospice Compassus needs volunteers who are willing to spend 1 or 2 hours per week providing companionship and emotional support to hospice patients.
Our patients live both in their homes, and in different facilities around Santa Fe. Multiple service locations means flexibility, and we are comitted to offering volunteer jobs that are convenient for you.
Since Compassus provides ample training, being a hospice volunter is something that anyone with a caring heart can do. Just a smile and a listening ear can make all the diference in our patient's care.

Volunteers do not provide any medical or personal care.
Companionship volunteer's duties might include.
- Playing board games
- Listening to music
- Life reveiw
- Helping a patient make phone calls to family.
- Coloring and Art
- Reading out loud
- sitting quietly and providing supportive presence.
