Our Harbor Light Center is looking for volunteers to help with assembling beds and dressers, moving various types of furniture, making beds/arranging furniture in rooms, and more. We are looking for adult volunteers to help us at Harbor Light (2400 N. Tibbs Ave.) on April 24 from 8:30am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-4:30pm (tentative 4:30-7pm shift will be canceled if we finish early).
Please consider signing up for a volunteer shift (all volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and minors should have an adult with them) to help Harbor Light provide new furniture for client rooms as this will be a blessing for them. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes, and snacks and bottled water will be available. Please note this volunteer position will require standing and for those who are able moving furniture, and is great for both individuals and groups (companies, churches, etc.)

Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Description
Using both paid staff and volunteers, we repond to disasters locally, nationally and internationally. Moreover, we repond to individual plights within Indiana whether the circumstances involve domestic violence, substance abuse, at risk children, homelessness, joblessness and other situations where people need help and training. We have multiple programs and service-specific centers in and around Indiana. We have special events as fundraisers, donation collections and to increase awareness. "Need knows no season" so we are in constant pursuit of finding ways to make a difference and offer the gift of God's love.
