ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Park Information:

Located approximately 20 miles northwest of center city Philadelphia, Valley Forge was the site of the 1777-78 winter encampment of George Washington and the Continental Army. The park commemorates the sacrifices and perseverance of the Revolutionary War generation and honors the ability of citizens to pull together and overcome adversity during extraordinary times. Brief Description:

Volunteers work on special projects on an as needed basis to sew the NPS VIP patch onto clothing, hats, and other fabric that will be utilized by VAFO's NPS VIPs.


Short Term Impact of this Work:

The NPS VIP patch is sewn onto VAFO VIP uniforms and apparel.


Long Term Impact of this Work:

The uniforms and other clothing and apparel that VAFO VIPs utilize are a professional representation of the NPS VIP program.


Time Commitment:

No time commitment. Projects are announced as needed (i.e., when the budget and need permit it). Projects will be divided among the number of interested and available VIPs.
