Shoreline Shine-Up: Volunteer Day to Revitalize Salt River Bay!

Join us for an exciting volunteer event at Salt River Bay as we come together to clean the shoreline and restore the vital mangrove habitats! On May 3rd, we invite passionate community members, families, and nature enthusiasts to roll up their sleeves and help remove debris to protect this breathtaking coastal ecosystem. Participants will not only enjoy the beauty of Salt River Bay but also learn about the crucial role mangroves play in supporting wildlife, improving water quality, and combating climate change.
When: Saturday, May 3rd, from 8:00 AM to noon. Everyone is to gather at Columbus Landing at 8:00 AM, where gloves, bags, and garbage grabbers will be provided. Please dress for the weather and bring water with you.
Where: Salt River Bay NHP and EP.
Our Goal: NPS staff and volunteers will work together to clean up the beaches and mangroves in Salt River Bay.

Please make sure you bring water, snacks, sun protection, and close-toed shoes that can get wet (avoid flip flops and slides, they can make you experience more difficult). There will be water coolers available to refill water bottles.
