90-Day Virtual Internship | Unpaid | Mission-Driven & Creative

Overview:
The Branding & Advertisement Intern will play a key role in supporting AAWTA’s mission by elevating our visual identity, crafting impactful ad campaigns, and increasing brand visibility across digital and print platforms. This is a great opportunity for a creative thinker with a passion for storytelling, design, and strategic communication to build a real-world portfolio while making a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development of branding materials including pitch decks, flyers, one-pagers, and sponsorship packets

  • Design and execute visual campaigns for fundraising, events, member recruitment, and awareness initiatives

  • Create promotional content for digital advertisements and social media (static and video formats)

  • Collaborate on brand-aligned content for web, email, and marketplace platforms

  • Support AAWTA members and marketplace partners with creative services (i.e., spotlight graphics, brand templates)

  • Maintain brand consistency across all visual communications

  • Track ad performance metrics and suggest creative optimization strategies

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

  • Understanding of branding principles and marketing strategy

  • Familiarity with social media ad formats and engagement trends

  • Strong written and visual communication

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven

  • Passion for equity, entrepreneurship, and community building
