Internship Term: Flexible Dates
Hours: Part time - 6-8 hours per week. We are flexible!
About The Pablove Foundation:
At The Pablove Foundation, we fight childhood cancer with love. Our Pablove Shutterbugs program provides children living with cancer the opportunity to develop their creative voice through the art of photography. We believe in the power of art to heal, inspire, and empower young artists.

About the Internship:

We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented intern to support the Pablove Shutterbugs team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves photography, arts education, and making a difference in the lives of children and families affected by cancer.

What You'll Do:

Assist with planning and organizing photography classes and workshops
Support outreach efforts to recruit students and volunteers
Help manage digital photo archives and organize student work
Assist with communications, including emails, newsletters, and social media content
Support logistics for exhibitions and events featuring student photography
Conduct research on arts education, childhood cancer programs, and community engagement strategies
Provide general administrative support as needed

What We're Looking For:

Passion for the arts, photography, and nonprofit work
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and social media platforms
Experience with photography, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva (a plus, but not required)

Mission Statement

The Pablove Foundation addresses childhood cancer through a unique art + science approach. Our mission is to improve the lives of children living with cancer through the arts and invest in underfunded, cutting-edge pediatric cancer research. Pablove Shutterbugs, our signature photography program for kids 6-18 living with cancer, has served nearly 1,500 students in eight cities across the country, and we’ve provided $2.8 million in seed funding for daring pediatric cancer researchers on the leading edge of their fields worldwide.

Description

Pablove's story began in 2008, when Pablo Thrailkill Castelaz was diagnosed with bilateral Wilms Tumor, a rare form of childhood cancer. After 13 months of treatment, Pablo passed away just six days after his sixth birthday. The whole extended community affected by his diagnosis - friends, teachers, classmates and neighbors - wrapped its collective arms around him and his family. Their love inspired the start of The Pablove Foundation, and we've been fighting childhood cancer with love ever since.
