Are you passionate about community engagement and love planning events? STAR House is looking for a volunteerSeasonal Community Event Coordinator to help us bring people together through meaningful, family-friendly outreach events this summer.
In this role, you’ll help organize events, schedule volunteers, and coordinate logistics to ensure everything runs smoothly. This is a great opportunity to build your skills in event planning, community outreach, and leadership-while making a real impact in our local community.
As a volunteer, you will:
Help plan and coordinate summer outreach events
Schedule and communicate with volunteers
Organize supplies and logistics for event booths
Collaborate with STAR House leadership and other committee leads
Represent STAR House with warmth and professionalism at community events

Commitment:
3-5 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Primarily in-person events, with some virtual planning and check-ins

Mission Statement
STAR House is crisis nursery which exists to provide a temporary home away from home for children and supportive services to uplift and strengthen the entire family.
Description
As a nonprofit corporation, STAR House will offer free, safe, holistic, and trauma-informed care to children in an overnight care facility. Parents/guardians will become a part of our support network, and be encouraged to care for themselves and/or receive services to overcome barriers or life stressors they may be facing such as housing instability, financial instability, inadequate childcare, domestic violence, etc. We will partner with other community services to make available the resources, care, and support that the family desires. We will create a safe home away from home for children in early childhood.
