NHQ Treasury Business Analyst Support

This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Treasury team and is a remote (volunteer-from-home opportunity). The Treasury Business Analyst works with our online payment vendor to ensure proper level of security measures are in place allowing online payments to be processed.

Responsibilities

The Treasury Business Analyst volunteer will:

  • Review daily reports from fraud protection vendor.
  • Analyze transactions through Braintree, Relic, and the Gift Management System researching potentially fraudulent issues as flagged by fraud protection vendor.
  • Act as liaison with fraud protection vendor to identify potential fraud risk.
  • Potentially additional responsibilities related to credit card processing review and reporting.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards, as well as develop and run queries
  • Assist in ensuring the quality of the data contained in reports by analyzing and making recommendations of records that need additional research or corrections due to data anomalies

Time Commitment


20-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, during normal business hours 9a to 5p (ET); ideally 3-4 hours per day. 6 months.

Required:

  • Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually (e.g., access to a computer, phone, and reliable internet service)
  • Accounting/Finance education and/or experience
  • Understanding of or experience with e-commerce processing platforms
  • Intermediate Excel and SharePoint experience
  • Keen eye for detail and comfort working with large data sets
  • Computer skills including utilizing MS Teams
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with the following:
    • data analytics SQL
    • PowerBI or Tableau
  • Comfortable working independently on projects
  • Comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data
  • Strong communication skills to be able to communicate findings
  • Highly motivated, possessing a strong combination of business sense and understanding of service delivery and the drive to make an impact.
  • Organized, adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, unstructured environment .

Preferred:

  • Experience with Python and/or R

  • Experience using data science platform such as DataIku, SageMaker, or DataRobot
