Books Across Lexington
ORGANIZATION: Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning
Please visit the new page to apply.
The Carnegie Center is in the process of mapping all the places in Lexington, Kentucky where people can go to get free books. For our Books Across Lexington project, we plan to identify which areas of town have the greatest need for more books. And we need your help! Only with the support of volunteers can we find data about the many free book distribution sites in the city. No experience needed.
This volunteer opportunity works best in pairs! If you have a friend or two (or more) who might be interested, feel free to pass this along. Contact lmcallister@carnegiecenterlex.org with any questions or concerns.
We have orientation dates available on April 22 and May 6 from 4:00-7:00pm. Orientation will include an explanation of the program, procedures, and route assignments, as well as site investigations (some walking or driving required). Future volunteer dates will be discussed during orientation. You can sign up for an orientation date using the following link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A4EABA72BA6FDC61-55951048-books#/
