Mission Statement

At TechArts, we believe in the power of education to break down barriers and open doors to endless opportunities. Our mission is clear: TechArts Empowerment Foundation exists to bridge the digital divide by offering engaging, fun, and educational programs that cultivate creativity and proficiency in technology and the arts. Through arts in education and technology training, we aim to unlock the potential within every young mind, nurturing talent and igniting a passion for learning.

Description

TechArts Empowerment Foundation’s Mobile STEM Academy brings free, hands-on coding and robotics workshops directly to underserved youth in Los Angeles County, with a focus on South, South Central, and East LA. Our project equips Black, Latino, and low-income students (ages 9-18) with the digital skills needed to thrive in today’s tech-driven world. Workshops are held in community spaces-libraries, parks, rec centers-and transformed into temporary tech classrooms. Each session includes instruction, materials, and meals, with the long-term goal of gifting laptops and robots to students. With support from from our partners Los Angeles Parks and Recreation, we aim to bridge both the digital skills gap and the digital divide, empowering youth to become confident, creative tech users and future innovators.
