Best Buddies Michigan recently launched our second Citizens chapter in the state, right here in Washtenaw County! This adult friendship program pairs individuals in the community with and without intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) in one-to-one friendships, as well as hosts monthly events for members to gather.
We are actively recruiting for adults (18+) without IDD to join to help us get closer to our goal of doing one-to-one pairs! This is a great opportunity to both make new friends AND a difference in your community. This video does an excellent job of showcasing the power of friendships and inclusion, made possible by participating in Best Buddies Citizens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILSVDuug1Ls&ntb=1&msockid=35bb57bf193711f0989f79514e87ec10
Please spread the word to local alumni, professionals, or any adult in the community who has a heart for making a difference and looking for a life-changing friendship. Email Lead Program Manager Lydia Goff at lydiagoff@bestbuddies.org with any questions or for more information.
