Be part of the team bringing Brentwood’s first-ever pop culture and cosplay convention to life! NovaCon is proudly presented by Lovely Nova Arts, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering creativity, inclusivity, and community engagement through the arts.
Event Date: Saturday, August 2, 2025
Location: Brentwood City Park, Brentwood, CA 94513
Volunteer Shifts:
Morning: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Afternoon: 1:30 PM - 7:30 PM
All-Day: 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM (includes extra perks!)
As a NovaCon volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in making this event unforgettable. From assisting guests and managing lines to helping with panels, kids’ activities, or merchandise sales, you’ll be right in the heart of the action.
Volunteer roles may include:
Interacting with guests and providing information
Handling credit card transactions at merch and ticket booths
Assisting with crowd control and line organization
Supporting event setup, teardown, and transitions
Standing or walking for extended periods (6 hours or more)

NovaCon is proudly presented by Lovely Nova Arts, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to fostering creativity, inclusivity, and community engagement through the arts.
We are thrilled to introduce NovaCon as the first major pop culture and cosplay convention ever held in Brentwood, California, right in the heart of Contra Costa County. This groundbreaking event celebrates artistic diversity, fandom culture, and self-expression through immersive experiences, creative showcases, and interactive programming for all ages.
Our mission is to build a vibrant, inclusive community where people of all backgrounds can explore their creativity and passions. Through NovaCon and other arts-based programs, we support emerging artists, local creators, and fans of all ages by providing a platform to connect, collaborate, and celebrate what makes each of us unique.
As a volunteer-driven organization, we rely on passionate individuals like you to bring these experiences to life. Whether it’s helping with event setup, assisting guests, supporting kids’ activities, or running panels, your time and energy will directly contribute to something special for the community.
