I Want To Mow Your Lawn Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to honor those who served. We provide free lawn care and basic landscaping services to older adults, disabled individuals, and military veterans who can no longer maintain their own properties and cannot afford professional help.

We aim to give back to members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force, and National Guard, recognizing their sacrifices by offering relief, restoring dignity, and bringing peace of mind through simple, thoughtful yard work. As part of our vetting process, we typically ask for basic military service information such as branch served and supporting paperwork. This helps us verify requests and share meaningful stories with our community.

Volunteers help on their own schedule, and if you’re a veteran yourself who is physically able, we’d be honored to have you join our network to continue serving your neighbors through community action.

Description

I Want To Mow Your Lawn(r) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID: 85-3447661) that connects homeowners in need with a nationwide network of passionate landscaping volunteers. Launched in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we provide completely free lawn care services to seniors over 65, military veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those facing financial challenges, while prioritizing eco-friendly practices and fostering community connection.

Founded by Brian Schwartz after being laid off from his digital advertising job, the initiative began as a way to stay engaged during a difficult time. It has since grown into a thriving platform with over 1,300 volunteers across the USA and even some enlisted in other countries. With their help, we've revitalized countless yards, spreading kindness one lawn at a time.

Thanks to support from leading battery-powered equipment manufacturers and recognition in major media outlets, I Want To Mow Your Lawn(r) has become a growing, trademarked brand. Our mission connects the dots between homeowners and volunteers, offering relief while encouraging neighbors to lend a hand and make a difference. Whether it's trimming, edging, or just showing up to say hello, our volunteers help transform neighborhoods into stronger, greener communities.
