Volunteer at Camp Escapades to help children with disabilities enjoy a care-free summer camp experience.

Why: Camp Escapades is offered to over 160 children with disabilities, autism, and medical conditions. This camp is designed for children of all abilities to participate and enjoy the value of a typical summer camp customized to be inclusive and accessible! In addition, the children are supported by a one-on-one camp volunteer buddy throughout the week or volunteers are part of our Activities Team that creates the activities each day. These volunteers are young adults and high school teen volunteers who gain life experience. Volunteers are ages 14 and over .

Who: Momentum is an organization dedicated to advancing the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of children and adults with disabilities and medical conditions.

What to Expect:

One on One Buddy supports a child with special needs throughout the week.

This job supports and helps to keep the child safe at camp or being part of the Activities Team. Volunteers will help in setting up and supporting different activities each day and throughout the week.

All volunteers are provided with a camp t-shirt. Each volunteer is responsible to bringing their own lunch each day.

What's Required:

Must be at least 14 years of age.

Proof of TB Test if within one year

If 18, livescan is required.

Required Orientations: Monday, June 30th 3-6pm and Monday, July 7th from 5-7pm

Must volunteer entire day and week of camp:

Week 1 Session July 14th to July 18th- Now Unavailable

Week 2 Session: July 21st to July 25th

Week 3 Session: July 28th to August 1st

Week 4 Session: August 4th to 8th
