Role Summary
Destiel is seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to serve as Trans Ambassadors, helping to foster understanding, visibility, and support for the Trans community. This role is focused on public engagement, education, and outreach, ensuring that Trans voices and experiences are highlighted in meaningful ways.
As a Trans Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to connect with diverse communities, raise awareness, and advocate for inclusivity. Whether through storytelling, community events, or resource-sharing, you’ll help make a lasting impact in creating a more welcoming and informed society.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with the public through outreach efforts, events, and educational initiatives to increase awareness and understanding of Trans experiences.
- Serve as a positive representative of the Trans community, sharing lived experiences and insights to foster inclusivity.
- Attend and participate in community discussions, panels, and advocacy events to amplify Trans voices.
- Assist in developing and distributing educational resources to support Trans individuals and inform allies.
- Collaborate with organizations, schools, and businesses to promote policies and programs that support Trans inclusivity.
- Help connect individuals to supportive services, peer networks, and essential resources.
Qualifications:
- Passionate about educating and engaging with the public to promote inclusivity and understanding.
- Comfortable with public speaking, storytelling, or community outreach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and committed to a minimum of 10 hours per month.
- Previous experience in advocacy, mentorship, or public engagement is a plus but not required.
- Commitment of at least 15 hours per week, with regular check-ins and progress reporting.
