Help a Disabled Caregiver & Her Elderly Mom in Middletown, OH -- Lawn Care Needed

ORGANIZATION: I Want To Mow Your Lawn ®

Sometimes the smallest yards hide the biggest struggles.

Margaret, a longtime disability recipient, is the sole caregiver for her elderly mother Bonnie, who recently fractured her pelvis in three places and is now in rehab. With no family or friends nearby and no home health aide since November, Margaret has been managing everything alone-including trying to keep up with their modest lawn on a low household income.

Last summer, a kind volunteer (Ron) mowed their small yard weekly. He’s no longer available (recently retired and has travel plans), and we’re hoping someone nearby might be willing to step in-even just once or on occasion. Whatever you can do it's appreciated, there are no commitments. Ron shared that it took less than 20 minutes using basic lawn tools. The yard is small, but the impact of showing up is enormous.

This is a real chance to help someone who’s given so much of herself caring for others. Margaret is kind, grateful, and emotionally exhausted-and mowing her lawn would lift a huge weight.

We understand everyone has busy lives. But if you're in or near Middletown, OH and can spare a few minutes with a mower or trimmer, this is your opportunity to make a genuine difference.

- No long-term commitment required
- Bring your own gear (Toro push mower, trimmer, blower ideal)
- One-time or recurring support appreciated

Sign up today-your kindness could bring relief to someone who’s truly on their own.

Description

I Want To Mow Your Lawn(r) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID: 85-3447661) that connects homeowners in need with a nationwide network of passionate landscaping volunteers. Launched in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we provide completely free lawn care services to seniors over 65, military veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those facing financial challenges, while prioritizing eco-friendly practices and fostering community connection.

Founded by Brian Schwartz after being laid off from his digital advertising job, the initiative began as a way to stay engaged during a difficult time. It has since grown into a thriving platform with over 1,300 volunteers across the USA and even some enlisted in other countries. With their help, we've revitalized countless yards, spreading kindness one lawn at a time.

Thanks to support from leading battery-powered equipment manufacturers and recognition in major media outlets, I Want To Mow Your Lawn(r) has become a growing, trademarked brand. Our mission connects the dots between homeowners and volunteers, offering relief while encouraging neighbors to lend a hand and make a difference. Whether it's trimming, edging, or just showing up to say hello, our volunteers help transform neighborhoods into stronger, greener communities.

Join us in this growing movement. Whether as a volunteer or supporter, your involvement helps us expand our reach and bring smiles to even more homes.
