HeartShare's ArtShare program holds space for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities to discover, communicate and connect via creativity.
We are seeking volunteers to help set up and takedown our exhibition to showcase the talented artists in our program. You can help us build community through art by volunteering to help with this incredible event!
Volunteers are needed for the following tasks:
Framing Artworks
- HeartShare's Main Office (330 Jay St., Brooklyn)
- Monday April 21st, Wednesday April 23rd, or Friday, April 25th
- Anytime between 1pm-4pm
Exhibit Installation
- Clover's Art Gallery (338 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11201)
- Tuesday May 6th and Wednesday, May 7th
- 2-3 hour shifts between 11am-4pm
Exhibit Take Down
- Clover's Art Gallery (338 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11201)
- Monday, May 19th
- 2-3 hour shifts between 11am-4pm

HeartShare Human Services of New York nurtures and empowers children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as autism, Down Syndrome and cerebral palsy and supports their families. The mission of HeartShare Human Services is to expand the opportunities presented to people with disabilities, and to enhance the lives of the individuals that we support.
Description
HeartShare Human Services of New York nurtures and empowers children and adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, through educational, life skills and vocational training, residential, case management, recreational, family support and health care services. HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services (HSVS) supports children, adults and families living in crisis due to experiences with poverty. Since its founding in 1914, HeartShare has expanded its reach to over 100 program sites in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, as well as to 60 of the 62 New York counties through energy grants to low-income families. HeartShare is proud that 90% of all revenue goes directly to its programs and services. HeartShare is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children and is a Better Business Bureau Accredited Charity.
