Pershing Community Farmhands

ORGANIZATION: Scenic Hudson

Come assist our Urban Farmer with farm tasks to prepare for the growing season at The Pershing Avenue Community Garden and Neighborhood Farm. Expect to plant seeds, weed garden beds, cleanup trash, and install irrigation systems.

The Pershing Avenue Community Garden and Neighborhood Farm is a focal point of Poughkeepsie's Northside Community. The Farm addresses food insecurity, community wellness, and youth employment. Fresh produce grown at Pershing is distributed to neighborhood families, bodegas, and restaurants.

Come prepared with close-toed shoes, gloves, water, a hat, sun protection, and snacks. Gloves and tools will be provided.
