Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back? Join our team of compassionate volunteers and bring comfort, companionship and dignity to those at the end of life's journey.
Oasis is looking for dedicated volunteers to work directly with hospice patients--in their homes or in nursing homes. Whether it's sharing a story, holding a hand, listening, or simply being present, your time can make a world of difference.
As a hospice volunteer, you will:
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Provide relief for caregivers.
- Read, listen to music, or just sit in quiet presence.
- Help bring peace and connection during life's most tender moments.
No medical experience is required--just a kind heart and the willingness to be there. Training and on-going support are provided.
Volunteer Requirements:
- 16+
- Reliable and compassionate
- Able to commit to a few hours per week or month.
- Willing to complete onboarding documentation, 3 hours of online training, two-step TB test and physical exam.
- Must pass background check and fingerprinting requirements.
- Willing to complete required patient charting following each encounter.
