Job Description: Feline Coordinator- Reised 4/25
Position Summary: The Feline Coordinator works directly with volunteers and potential clients to complete successful surrenders, intakes and adoptions. This volunteer abides by and actively supports the mission and values of Safe Place for Pets. The Feline Coordinator will be supervised by the Placement Program Director.
Position Description: The Feline Coordinator responds to Surrender Applications in Shelterluv with information on the Placement Program. If a potential client meets our mission, the Feline Coordinator completes the intake process. The Feline Coordinator has ongoing communications with clients, fosters and team members. This volunteer must have access to a computer with Google; a printer; email; and a cellphone with camera and internet. Desirable qualifications include strong communication skills, ability to deal with clients in emotionally challenging situations at the end of life, experience handling cats, and experience with non-profit organizations.
Tasks include:
● Reviewing Initial Contact information and surrender application.
● Coordinating intake- including photos, vet records, and complete surrender application.
● Arranging transport to the foster, vet or cattery as needed.
● Creating a personalized bio for each pet and uploading it, along with pictures, to Shelterluv.
● Reviewing adoption applications, contact applicants to arrange a time for a meet and greet, as well as a site visit.
● Completing all Surrender forms, Foster forms, Adoption contracts, Site Visit forms.
● Setting up Pre-Adopt, provide instructions and follow up weekly.
● Finalizing adoptions in person.
● Attending monthly Leadership Team meetings.
● Communicating regularly with the Placement Director, Cat Care Coordinator, and Foster Coordinator.
● Completing the Fear Free Shelter certification program within 60 days.
● Be available weekends, and after hours if needed when a client needs assistance.
● Tracking your hours each month and turn them into the Volunteer Coordinator.
