Being in the weeds has never been so fun.
Join the Accokeek Foundation and Alice Ferguson Foundation at Piscataway Park for an engagingly educational hands-on plant workshop on June 1! You'll learn invasive and native species identification, proper invasive plant removal techniques, benefits of native plants, and tips for restoration and stewardship of your own property.
Meet at the park's Accokeek Creek Parking Lot at 10:00 AM to join this interactive event, and please bring a water bottle and gardening gloves. Close-toed shoes are a must, while long pants and sleeves are recommended to guard against thorns. Some snacks will be provided during the event.
