Are you looking for a way to give back and take care of your neighborhood park?
Look no further than this opportunity -- Please join us Rock Creek Park for a litter clean-up near Fort Totten and Fort Circle Parks!
This heavily trafficked area is unfortunately littered with trash and debris, but with your help we can give it the revival it deserves!
Event details
- Saturday April 26th, from 1:00 to 3:00pm.
- Please meet at the trailhead, near the corner of Galloway St. NE and 4th St NE (approximate address: 395 Galloway St. NE)
- Activities will include walking around, bending over, picking up, carrying and moving litter and debris varying small to large in size.
- National Park Service (NPS) will provide gloves, trash pickers, and trash bags for this event.
What to Bring
- Please wear hats and use sunscreen, as we will be working during peak sun. Bug spray may come in handy too!
- Please wear long pants (preferably with no holes) as well as close-toed shoes.
- You're encouraged to bring a snack and water (preferably in a reusable bottle!)
- Please bring a positive can-do attitude!
