Volunteers are an integral part of hospice care. Whether it’s providing companionship to a person in the final months and weeks of life, or offering support to their family members and caregivers, the contributions of volunteers are essential to the hospice team.
Every hospice relies on volunteer support to provide excellent end-of-life care to each patient and family. By being a hospice volunteer, you can gain great personal satisfaction from knowing that you have made a difference in another person’s life.
Some examples of volunteer duties are:
- Providing companionship to a patient and their family
- Being a comforting and supportive presence
- Providing respite time for the patient’s caregivers
- Running errands or doing light housekeeping for the patient and family
- Community outreach
- Office support
Interested in becoming a volunteer?
Bristol Hospice Las Vegas provides the training and supervision. We ask that surviving family members wishing to join the volunteer staff wait a minimum of one (1) year following the death of their loved one.

Description
Bristol Hospice - Las Vegas, LLC, provides a wide-range of services to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of individuals at the end of life. We focus on an individualized plan of care which may include, as appropriate, the following services: nursing, physicians, hospice aides, spiritual support, therapy, dietary, counseling, volunteers, durable medical equipment, supplies, bereavement services and medications related to the terminal illness.
