Defining Urban Biodiversity: Biodiversity & Bioblitz Training

ORGANIZATION: Scenic Hudson

Join a training and data collection session with Cary Institute and Scenic Hudson at Pershing Community Farm from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. You can add to the growing database of Poughkeepsie’s biodiversity by collecting data on plants, birds, pollinators, and other wildlife using green spaces in the city. Attending this training will prepare you for multiple opportunities to engage in the Defining Urban Biodiversity study in Kingston, Newburgh, and Poughkeepsie over the next three years.

  • DRESS for an outdoor day: wear comfortable clothing, and closed-toed shoes

  • BRING binoculars and a smartphone/tablet if you have them
