What You’ll Be Doing:

As a volunteer, you'll support day-to-day operations and help create a positive, respectful experience for everyone in our store. Tasks include:

  • Greeting customers with kindness and offering assistance

  • Providing positive, respectful interactions with customers, staff, and fellow volunteers

  • Receiving, sorting, and inspecting donations

  • Merchandising, tagging, and pricing items

  • Organizing and hanging clothing

  • Promoting the store and encouraging donations

Optional: Interested in cashiering? We offer cashier training for volunteers who are comfortable with processing payments. Only trained volunteers will be assigned to the till.

Shifts Available:

Our standard shifts are between 3-4 hours. We ask volunteers to commit to at least one shift per week.

  • Sundays: 10:30am - 2:30pm | 2:00pm - 6:30pm

  • Mondays: 1:00pm - 5:00pm | 4:30pm - 7:30pm

  • Tuesdays: 9:30am - 1:00pm | 1:00pm - 5:00pm

  • Thursdays: 9:30am - 1:00pm

  • Fridays: 9:30am - 1:00pm | 4:30pm - 7:30pm

  • Saturdays: 2:00pm - 6:30pm

⏳ Commitment:
  • Minimum of 6 months or 100 total volunteer hours

How to Become a Volunteer:
  1. Complete our Volunteer Application Form

  2. Wait to be contacted by one of our team members via email

  3. Participate in an interview to discuss mutual fit and understanding of the role

  4. Attend a 4-hour in-person training session to learn the basics of the role and confirm mutual fit

  5. Acceptance & Scheduling: Once training is complete, we’ll confirm your acceptance and weekly volunteer shift

Accessibility & Inclusion Notes:
  • Ground-level storefront (no stairs)

  • Medium lighting and background music

  • Typical lifting: up to 5kg; maximum occasionally up to 20kg

  • Store is fairly busy, especially Sundays and Wednesdays

  • May not be suitable for those with dust allergies
