The Child Benefit Fund is hosting the 9th annual Hippity Hop 5K and Easter Hunt on April 19, 2025 at the Potter Park Zoo. Vounteers will assist with a variety of tasks including setting up the Easter Egg Hunt, directing participants during the registration process, and marshal the race course. Volunteers are needed from 7:30 AM to approximately 12 PM. In addition, all volunteers will receive a free participant t-shirt.

The Child Benefit Fund is a nonprofit organization primarily dedicated to meeting the needs of at-risk children involved in the Juvenile Division of Ingham County Circuit Court. The Fund is kept alive through donations and fundraisers. A nine member volunteer board of directors oversees the Fund’s disbursements and organizes fundraisers and activities. The Child Benefit Fund disburses 100% of the money raised to directly benefit the youth and/or families working with the Court. Currently, the Child Benefit Fund helps with emergency needs, buys clothing, pays sports fees and camp costs, funds prosocial activities, and helps provide holiday gifts for approximately 250-300 at-risk children per year.
