Join our team as a Wildfire Preparedness Volunteer and help save lives by supporting at-risk communities in preparing for wildfires. Each year, the Red Cross responds to thousands of disasters, and wildfires are increasingly impacting both rural and urban areas across the U.S. In this role, you’ll participate in community events and work with local partners to educate residents on evacuation planning, wildfire safety, and emergency alert registration. Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct Wildfire Preparedness visits in-person, delivering critical wildfire safety education and support.
- Support residents with evacuation planning, alert registration, and connection to local resources.
- Meet training requirements and manage supplies to deliver effective preparedness activities.
