We're looking for an experienced Lead Project Coordinator to join our remote volunteer team and help drive the successful implementation and launch of our innovative technology platform.

About the Role:

As the Lead Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing volunteer applicants for our development positions (Mobile/Web Developer and Backend Engineer) and serve as the primary liaison between MatchingDonors.com and our external technology vendor. Your experience and leadership will be instrumental in successfully coordinating development efforts, ensuring clear communication, and managing project timelines for launching new technology initiatives.

Responsibilities:

-Manage and oversee the applicant screening and onboarding process for volunteer Mobile/Web Developers and Backend Engineers.

-Act as the main liaison between MatchingDonors.com and external technology vendors, facilitating effective communication and project alignment.

-Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and resources across internal teams and external partners.

-Provide regular progress updates to internal stakeholders and promptly address any project issues or risks.

-Assist in defining clear project goals, scopes, and success criteria.

-Monitor project milestones and ensure successful product launches.

-Foster collaboration and maintain strong relationships among project teams.

Requirements:

Proven experience coordinating or managing mobile app or online service development projects. Demonstrable track record in successfully launching new technology products. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to effectively manage and coordinate volunteer teams and external vendors. Familiarity with mobile and web application development processes and technologies. Adept at identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with nonprofit organizations or volunteer-driven projects. Familiarity with platforms and tools such as Jira, Trello, Slack, or similar project management software. Background in software development or technology product management.

A new patient’s name is added to this national organ transplant waiting list every 13 minutes. MatchingDonors.com is an official certifying organization of The President's Volunteer Service Award and our volunteers can be eligible to receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for their dedication to MatchingDonors.com.

We will consider volunteers who are eligible students who have Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) F-1 Status.

Our qualifying volunteers that achieve the minimum 100 hours of volunteering, receive a congratulatory letter from The President of the United States, a certificate, a medallion, and a pin. MatchingDonors.com has become the most successful nonprofit award-winning organization in the world that is improving those odds by finding living altruistic organ donors for patients needing organ transplants. Many patients find their living altruistic donor organ and get their lifesaving organ transplant within 6 months of joining MatchingDonors.com. MatchingDonors.com is NOT an invitee only list; everyone needing an organ transplant is allowed on our list regardless if they are poor, old or sick. As long as a patient is registered at a transplant hospital, in the United States, willing to perform the transplant operation everyone is considered a "Good Candidate for a Transplant with MatchingDonors.com"
