Key Dates & Timeline
- Volunteer & Coaches Meetings: May 28 & May 30
- Program Duration: June 9 - August 2
- Week 1 (June 9-15): Practice only
- Games Begin: Saturday, June 21
Weekly Commitment Overview (Location TBD) Practices: Wednesdays & Thursdays | 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM Games: Saturdays | 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- T-Ball: 9:00-10:00 AM
- Minors: 10:00-11:00 AM
- Majors: 11:00 AM-12:00 PM
Staff/Volunteers arrive at 4:00 PM on weekdays and 8:30 AM on Saturdays for setup and support Volunteer Roles & Expectations Coach (Head or Assistant)
- Attend one of the required training meetings (May 28 or May 30)
- Lead or assist one team with weekly practices and Saturday games
- Communicate with players’ families and ensure safety and sportsmanship
- Encourage teamwork and life skill development using Junior Giants resources
Team Parent / Support Volunteer
- Help coordinate team communication and attendance
- Distribute uniforms and support check-in on game days
- Assist with field setup, snack coordination, and game wrap-up
- Serve as a secondary adult presence for younger divisions (especially T-Ball)
No prior coaching experience is required. Training, equipment, and practice plans are provided by our team and the Giants Community Fund. Enthusiasm, reliability, and a heart for working with youth are the top qualifications!
