ORGANIZATION: RESILIENCE

We are looking for a Curriculum Development Division Director! Our department is responsible for creating social-emotional learning content that is offered in over ten states. Resilience is a large company with an even larger mission: to get SEL education into every school in the country. This intern will work closely with the Executive Director and will help them with tasks throughout the whole department-clerical, managerial, and creative.

The internship requires at least a six month commitment, with 5-10 hours per week and flexibility during the week. Those pursuing school credit for the internship will be required to document their weekly contributions in order to receive academic credit.

While unpaid, interns have the opportunity to earn a letter of recommendation upon completion of the internship. Plus, interns will earn work experience, the ability to help others, and have the opportunity to change the world by bringing social-emotional learning and mental health tools to the world.

Academic credit may be available through your school for this experience.

Curriculum Division Director Development Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Executive Director.
  • Come up with new ideas regarding curriculum and garnering feedback from staff.

  • Organize and maintain Curriculum resources.

  • Psychology, English/Writing, or Education Studies major strongly preferred. Highly organized, thoughtful, and diligent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to self-manage and work in an environment of high autonomy as well as contribute as a team member.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Desire to take initiative, pay close attention to detail, and drive for results.

Learning Outcomes

  • Interns will demonstrate an understanding of the Curriculum Development department roles and ambitions.
  • Interns will improve their skills in creativity, communication, and critical thinking.

Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.
