Help Build Digital Skills & Celebrate Success by providing support to our Vocational Program!

Make a meaningful difference by supporting clients in our Digital Literacy & Administrative/Customer Service Training program! As a Vocational Program Support Assistant, you'll assist our trainer at two key moments in each 7-8 week course:

Day 2: Guide clients through essential computer skills like navigating web browsers, resetting passwords, and following digital instructions. Provide patient, supportive guidance to help clients build confidence with basic computer skills.
Final Day: Help create a special graduation celebration for clients who have completed the program. Assist with graduation ceremony setup and teardown, including food arrangements.

Founded 150 years ago, we currently offer more than 30 programs and services, including food security, housing stability, mental health counseling, aging care, employment support, and disability services. JFS takes a holistic approach, assessing the various needs of the individual or family and provides the appropriate services all from one organization. We continuously evaluate the evolving challenges of our community and adapt or develop programs that respond to the resulting needs.

  • Varies. Typically 2-2.5-hour increments from 1-3pm or 6-8:30pm.
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills. Patience and the ability to explain concepts clearly to beginners. Occasionally lift items around 10lb or less. Willingness to interact with clients.
