Mission Statement
At WTFisDys, we champion authentic connection and unwavering support for individuals facing the challenges of dysautonomia. Born from a personal journey of five years navigating complex treatment paths, our mission is to create a safe haven where empathy, understanding, and community unite to bridge the gaps left by conventional resources.
Description
WTFisDys was founded by someone who experienced dysautonomia firsthand and understands the loneliness and challenges it brings. Our mission is to transform isolation into community by offering a safe space for empathy, connection, and practical support.
As a nonprofit certified at federal and state levels and actively pursuing tax-exempt status, we offer a growing list of programs designed to empower those affected by dysautonomia. Our offerings include peer support groups-with some sessions led by a licensed clinical social worker-caregiver support sessions that create welcoming spaces for sharing strategies, an engaging Discord community featuring interactive events and a book club, and adaptive movement classes that promote physical and emotional well-being.
We are also focused on building a visionary board and an engaged network of volunteers to help steer our strategic direction. Whether you have experience in community outreach or social media management or simply feel passionate about making a difference, we invite you to join us in turning isolated struggles into a vibrant network of shared strength, resilience, and hope.
Your volunteer efforts will amplify the voices of those living with dysautonomia, transforming personal challenges into collective power while fostering a creative, supportive environment for meaningful change.
