Paradiso Perduto Foundation is a non-profit initiative, aiming to build an international retreat centre for civilian veterans. It is our mission to build a home, a community and a safe haven for civilian veterans to retreat and recover amongst others with the same experiences. As a thoroughly holistic organisation, we mean to address root causes instead of fixing symptoms.

We are currently in the seed phase and are actively seeking motivated individuals that will make up our start-up Team. There are multiple volunteering positions, most of which require specific expertise. Our current focus is on developing a comprehensive overarching communication and fundraising strategy that will help raise awareness about our cause and build relationships with our target audience and various stakehoders.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

• RESEARCH: Identify untapped fundraising and grant opportunities and list an overview of relevant information, application procedures and deadlines for grant-making institutions.
• DONOR PROSPECTING: Develop a vetted list of potential major donors and support and assist the Management Board in developing relationships and making relevant connections.
• PROJECT PREPARATION: Assist the Management Board in planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns in line with the fundraising strategy.
• ORGANISATIONAL SYSTEMS: Update and assist the Management Board in planning and managing the annual fundraising development calendar of appeals, publications, and events .
• REPORTING: In close collaboration with the Treasurer, track donations, maintain donor records and files, and create campaign reports. Assist the Management Board in drafting regular and ad-hoc reports for major donors on the Foundation’s work and progress.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, marketing, public relations, or related area. Good knowledge of various fundraising methods, including peer-to-peer fundraising, fostering partnerships / sponsorships / grants, organizing online and in-person events, direct mail and email marketing, online donations, crowdsourcing and other. Progressive work experience in fundraising. Experience within the non-profit industry is highly desirable.
