Nova Ukraine is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine and raising awareness about Ukraine in the United States and throughout the world. Thanks to your generous donations, we fund a variety of projects to help the people of Ukraine and to strengthen Ukraine’s democratic society. The Nova Ukraine team and volunteers have been working tirelessly to help those in need. We greatly appreciate the overwhelming support from the community. Since then, we have donated over $110 million worth of humanitarian aid.

Nova Ukraine is on the lookout for a talented and dedicated Website and Email Campaign Writer to enhance our communications and outreach efforts. As an integral member of our team, you will focus on creating compelling content for our email campaigns and website articles, contributing directly to our mission and impact.

Your role will involve crafting 2 newsletters and 2 articles per month, each designed to inform, engage, and inspire our audience about our work and the situation in Ukraine. You will work closely with various departments, including Marketing, Fundraising, and Operations, to gather the latest updates and stories for your pieces.

What We’re Lookin For

• Writing Acumen:

Strong writing skills and the ability to produce engaging and accurate content.

• Investigative Ability:

A proactive approach to understanding and disseminating complex information.

• Self-Starter Attitude:

The ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic environment.

• Passion for the Cause:

A keen interest in Ukraine and a commitment to keeping yourself informed about its current affairs.

• Language Skills:

Exhibit strong writing skills with fluency in English; proficiency in Ukrainian is highly desirable.

• Long-term Commitment:

A willingness to be a part of our team for an extended period (3 months minimum).

• Tech Savviness:

Comfort with digital tools and platforms for content creation and communication. Collaborate through Google Docs, Asana, and Slack.

What You’ll Do

• Content Creation:

Write engaging and informative newsletters and articles that resonate with our audience and align with our mission.

• Research and Development:

Proactively source and investigate material through direct communication with our teams or via Slack, ensuring content accuracy and relevance.

• Team Collaboration:

Attend weekly meetings and provide deliverables on a bi-weekly basis, maintaining a steady flow of content and meeting deadlines.

• Commitment:

Demonstrate long-term commitment and regular availability, with a minimum of 8 hours per week dedicated to Nova Ukraine. There is a requirement to produce deliverables every 2 weeks; to make sure the whole team stays on track.

Work conditions:

• Volunteer role (unpaid).
