Position Description:
Ignite Classical School is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Volunteer Accountant to assist with a project-based initiative focused on preparing financial documentation for our upcoming accreditation process. This role is essential in helping us clean up and organize our financial reporting to meet compliance standards and support our long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and reconcile historical financial records
Organize and standardize financial reports for accreditation requirements
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial policies and procedures
Provide recommendations for improving financial systems and internal controls
Collaborate with school leadership and external consultants as needed

Ignite Classical School is a PreK-12th grade independent Christian school in Shreveport, Louisiana that provides a classical education to a racially and socioeconomically diverse student body. Our school launched in August 2022 with Kindergarten through 2nd grades.
