The Human Resources & Volunteer Care Coordinator plays a vital role in cultivating a healthy, Christ-centered organizational culture by supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and care of staff and volunteers. This role is responsible for managing human resource functions while ensuring that each individual serving with Guardian’s Embrace feels spiritually supported, equipped, and aligned with the mission to protect, restore, and empower vulnerable children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee HR-related tasks including onboarding, recordkeeping, compliance, and internal communication.
Coordinate volunteer recruitment, orientation, placement, and spiritual care.
Facilitate background checks, reference checks, and ministry readiness assessments.
Develop and maintain policies that reflect our faith-based mission and nonprofit values.
Provide support and guidance to team members on personal, professional, and spiritual challenges as needed.
Organize regular prayer, testimony, and fellowship opportunities for staff and volunteers.
Foster a culture of encouragement, accountability, and biblical stewardship.
Partner with leadership to address organizational needs in staffing and volunteer engagement.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A heart for ministry and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills.
Experience in human resources, volunteer coordination, or pastoral care (preferred).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discernment and grace.
A spirit of hospitality, encouragement, and excellence in service.
