Time Commitment: Flexible, ~5 hours/month

About Us:

Mothers Of Veteran Suicide (MOVS) is a nonprofit dedicated to providing HOPE and healing to Mothers and Families who have lost a Military or Veteran loved one to suicide. We aim to build a nationwide movement of support, advocacy, and postvention outreach.

Opportunity:

We are seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to serve as Volunteer Community Outreach Liaisons. This is a meaningful role for someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of Veteran Families that have lost a loved one to suicide. Our goal is to build local awareness and strengthening community connections.



What You’ll Do:

  • Represent MOVS within your community to grow local presence
  • Build relationships with Veteran organizations, mental health professionals, and community leaders
  • Coordinate or participate in awareness events and campaigns
  • Help connect families to MOVS programs and support resources
  • Share MOVS mission through social media, community talks, or outreach efforts

What We’re Looking For:



  • Passion for Military and Veteran family suicide survivors, mental health awareness, and supporting grieving families
  • Strong communication skills and a heart for service
  • Self-motivated and reliable; able to work independently
  • Familiarity with local Veteran or community resources is a plus
  • Must reside in the community you’re applying to represent
