The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results

Position Overview:

The Genetics and Genomics Teaching Assistant (Volunteer) supports faculty in teaching undergraduate and graduate-level genetics and genomics courses, conducting laboratory sessions, and assisting students with course material.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct and supervise genetics and genomics laboratory sessions
* Teaching lectures and associated lab classes
* Prepare equipment, materials, and software for specific labs and computational
exercises
* Grade assignments, lab reports, and exams
* Hold regular office hours to assist students
* Maintain laboratory safety and cleanliness
* Assist in preparing course materials and lab exercises
* Support students in bioinformatics tasks and genomic data analysis

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related field; Master's
degree preferred
* Strong knowledge of genetics and genomics principles and laboratory techniques
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus
* Ability to explain complex genetic concepts clearly to diverse audiences
* Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and bioinformatics tools
* Familiarity with genomic databases and analysis software
